Anthropic in talks with investors to raise funds at $900 billion valuation, higher than OpenAI

anthropic is in talks to raise money at a $900 billion valuation, per a person familiar. no term sheet is signed yet and talks are ongoing. that would value anthropic higher than openai, which was at $852 billion after closing a $122 billion funding round in late march. anthropic was valued at $380 billion as of february. the company hit $30 billion in annualized revenue this month, up from roughly $10 billion last year. the fundraising push is partly driven by its new claude mythos preview model — a cybersecurity-focused model only available to select companies. mythos has sparked meetings with trump administration officials, tech ceos and bank executives. anthropic also recently secured up to 5 gigawatts of compute capacity from amazon, which agreed to invest up to $25 billion. it got another 5 gigawatts from a deal with google and broadcom coming online next year. google plans to invest up to $40 billion.
